I would like to take this time to thank all the people at AKE for their work. I recently had a fire that started outside of my fireplace in the family room of my home. Fortunately we had recently installed AKE equipment in my home. By having a fire extinguisher available we were able to contain the fire with minimal damage. For the most part the damages were only clean up work from the smoke and soot and were able to move back in our home after only a few weeks.

Looking back, I realized that prior to having installed the AKE system, I had no knowledge that the fire extinguisher and smoke detectors I had were not working. I am so thankful that I was made aware of this. I can't imagine the devastation that could have occurred.

My family and I thank all of you for the great job you all do in providing people with the knowledge and equipment. Keep up the great work that you do.

Awhile back, my daughter sold me on the AKE equipment. I felt that it was on the expensive side. Needless to say, after an hour and a half debate, she had convinced me of the value. You see, about eight years ago we had a fire in the laundry room of our almost-new home. To make a long story short, our fire extinguisher had expired. In the process of trying to put out the fire, the chemical inside the extinguisher made it worse. In the end, the fire had destroyed the wall that connected the garage and our family ended up in a motel for almost three weeks. Anyway, I will never forget the financial strain that came with that disaster. During the debate with my daughter, she reminded me that the insurance company would reward our efforts to keep our home safe. I’m currently paying for my mother’s insurances, my son’s and my step-daughter’s rental insurance, as well as our homeowner’s insurance. I recently received word back from the insurance companies. In total, I will save $6,152 just over the next 5 years. That means that during the 10 years that our equipment carries its guarantee, we will save MORE THAN TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS on insurance alone. And, since I purchased extra equipment for those that I care about who can’t afford it, those items qualify as tax deductions. I will also save $500 on my taxes. My family and I send our gratitude to AKE for the safety provided to our homes and for allowing me to put more into our savings account.

I purchased a package of equipment from your company for my home of over $500 back in 1990. A price I must admit, at the time, seemed very high. However, we had a grease fire just like the representative said could happen in the kitchen. We had a pan of grease that was on fire and then was spilled spreading the fire very quickly. Thank goodness our AKE extinguisher worked just as promised and the fire was out. I was amazed when your company gave me another extinguisher without any hassle.

First of all I want to thank you for the equipment. It came at a necessary time. I used the pepper spray when I was being approached by a growling dog. I felt very threatened and used the entire canister. The dog ran away and I was fine. I appreciate you replacing the spray so quickly. May God bless you and grant you success in your business.

I never thought a fire would happen to me again. We had a fire in our kitchen years before which caused us to have to move out as the townhouse was fixed and cleaned. I must admit that even after having a fire, my house was not prepared for another one. When the salesperson came to my home, I was a bit hesitant because I did not have much money but I still ended up purchasing, thankfully. It was the middle of the night when my smoke detector downstairs went off and I woke up. I got up to see what was happening and noticed the smoke coming from my laundry room. I grabbed my extinguisher and sprayed it at the dryer to put the fire out. I learned later the fire started because of the lint built-up in my dryer and the heat the dryer put out when it was running. What frightens me the most is I was sleeping when this fire started and I did not have a smoke detector outside my laundry area before the salesperson told me I should. Thank you for helping make my home safe and replacing my extinguisher.

I purchased your FYRE-FREE product many years ago. I have two experiences to tell you about. First of all in my own home I was told by the sales rep to treat my carpeting near all of my outlets in case lightning strikes near my home, causing a power surge to throw sparks onto my carpet from the outlets. Luckily my husband listened and did treat the carpet. Last week we have one heck of a storm and when I woke up I noticed one of my outlets in the living room was black and there was a spot on the carpet right in front of the outlet that was blackened as well. The carpet only charred and never ignited, and I am thankful I had the FYRE-FREE so my house did not burn down.

Secondly, I had some extra retardant and gave this to my friend Elsie who’s husband, Lefty, is a chain smoker who falls asleep in his chair and has burned it in the past. This worried me, so I told her she could treat the chair and the carpet around the chair and it would not ignite. Coincidentally she had just bought Lefty a brand new chair and was excited to not have it burn like the old one. She used the FYRE-FREE I gave her and even though he still continues to chain smoke and fall asleep in the chair, their house is safe because of your FYRE-FREE. I feel like a better friend too.
